The Lab Analyst Internship is a 12-week program running from May 18th to August 7th, 2026. Interns are assigned to specific departments focused on medical device testing, such as bioburden, biocompatibility, bacterial endotoxin testing, healthcare reprocessing, or routine chemistry. You will work under the guidance of a supervisor and a dedicated mentor, participating in weekly lunch-and-learn sessions covering scientific techniques, business operations, and leadership skills. At the end of the program, interns lead a brief presentation summarizing their experience.
What you'll do#
- Perform laboratory procedures including plate counts, Gram stains, plate streaking, aseptic technique, and daily standardization.
- Ensure all testing is conducted according to approved procedures and regulatory requirements, such as GMP, GLP, and ISO.
- Record all data accurately and concurrently.
- Collaborate on quality events, including deviations and unexpected results.
- Notify the Study Director of any unforeseen circumstances during testing.
- Work in a laboratory environment requiring the use of personal protective equipment and the ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student majoring in a life science, such as Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Ability to work a full-time, on-site schedule, Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour shift between 7 AM and 9 AM.
