About the role#
The Lab Analyst Internship is a 12-week program running from May 18th to August 7th, 2026. Interns are trained in basic laboratory testing techniques and assigned to specific departments focused on medical device testing. You will work under the guidance of an assigned supervisor and a dedicated mentor. The program includes weekly lunch and learn sessions covering scientific testing, business operations, and leadership skills, along with various team-building and networking activities.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic lab procedures including plate counts, Gram stains, plate streaking, aseptic technique, and daily standardization.
- Ensure all testing is conducted according to approved procedures and regulatory requirements, such as GMP, GLP, and ISO.
- Record all data accurately and concurrently.
- Participate in the collaboration of quality events, including deviations and unexpected results.
- Notify the Study Director of any unforeseen circumstances during testing.
- Deliver a brief presentation at the end of the program summarizing your learning and experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student majoring in a life science, such as Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Ability to work in a professional laboratory environment, which may involve exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing for 75% of the day, lifting up to 45 pounds, and wearing required personal protective equipment.

- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, day shift (start times vary between 7AM and 9AM).
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
