About the role#
Sony Music Publishing is looking for an intern to join the Financial Planning and Analysis team. This role provides an opportunity to develop skills in finance and accounting while gaining experience in the music publishing industry. You will support the team with financial forecasting, data analysis, and the preparation of materials for management.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the financial forecast preparation process, including data extraction, assumption analysis, and submission to consolidation systems.
- Create strategy and finance materials for management.
- Research and analyze market trends, industry developments, competitors, and business unit activities.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the FP&A team.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university as a Junior or Senior majoring in Finance or Accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (including pivot tables and formulas like Vlookup, Hlookup, and Sumifs) and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous internship experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis is preferred.
- Authorization to work in the United States.

- This is an on-site position based in New York, New York.
- The role is full-time and paid at an hourly rate of $18.
- This is a rolling internship.
