Legal Intern

About the role#

Sony Corporation of America is seeking a law student intern for the Fall 2026 semester to support the Legal, Ethics & Trust Department. This paid internship provides hands-on training within an in-house legal department. Interns are expected to work approximately 15-20 hours per week.

What you'll do#

• Assist lawyers with transactional, litigation, and corporate matters.
• Research legal issues and draft internal memos.
• Review agreements and other legal documentation.
• Attend client meetings and participate in negotiations.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest or background in technology, media, or related industries.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks to completion.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Location: New York, NY.
• Modality: Hybrid (in-person 1-2 days per week).
• Term: Fall 2026 (starting September 2026).
• Compensation: $23.00 per hour, eligible for overtime.
