About the role#
Sony AI is seeking research interns to develop machine learning technologies for film, game, and music production. The role focuses on both the creation of generative AI tools and the development of methods to ensure the ethical operation of these models. Interns will work closely with internal scientists and engineers to produce research intended for publication in top-tier conferences.
What you'll do#
- Investigate and apply novel algorithms for the generation and editing of video, sound, and 3D visual geometry, including 3D human motion.
- Analyze and mitigate ethical flaws in generative models, such as memorization detection, concept erasure, and data attribution.
- Implement innovative research ideas using strong coding and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with internal teams to advance research projects.
- Prepare and publish findings in top-tier academic conferences.
What you'll need#
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in generative AI applications, including deep generative modeling, computer vision, and audio signal processing.
- Strong analytical and programming skills in deep learning using frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Experience in research communities, evidenced by published papers at top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, or ICML.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Preference is given to candidates currently enrolled in a relevant Ph.D. program.
