About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Engineering Co-op position within the Sonoco Consumer Packaging Division. You will gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing and packaging industry while working alongside experts across various business functions.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with industry experts and peers on projects in manufacturing, process engineering, quality, safety, sales, finance, and supply chain.
- Gain insight into business operations across the enterprise.
- Participate in plant tours and engage directly with Sonoco leadership.
- Join activities with other co-ops, interns, and Emerging Leader associates.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous co-op experience, ideally in a manufacturing or functional setting.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Technical aptitude.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
