About the role#
This full-time co-op position offers hands-on experience in consulting engineering. The assignment begins in mid-May 2027 and requires a commitment through late November or early December 2027. You will participate in an orientation and training period followed by on-the-job work alongside full-time team members. You will interact with construction managers, contractors, and design professionals while exploring various specializations in geotechnical engineering, environmental remediation, pavement design, and materials evaluation.
What you'll do#
- Support field construction quality control activities.
- Assess and evaluate project materials, including soils, concrete, and asphalt.
- Assist engineering staff with field evaluations and quality control testing.
- Learn and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Gain direct exposure to consulting engineering practices.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or pursuit of a degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Basic computer literacy for field work, communications, and report generation.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 50 to 60 pounds.
- Ability to work outside at construction sites in various weather conditions, including standing, stooping, kneeling, and walking on uneven terrain.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a safety-minded approach.

- Compensation: This is a paid position.
