About the role#
This Civil Engineering Co-op position offers hands-on experience in consulting engineering practices. The assignment runs full-time from mid-May 2027 through late November or early December 2027. You will work alongside full-time team members, contractors, and design professionals to gain exposure to various construction techniques and project types.
What you'll do#
- Support field construction quality control activities.
- Assess and evaluate project materials, including soils, concrete, and asphalt.
- Assist in the adherence to project specifications.
- Perform field evaluations and quality control testing.
- Gain exposure to geotechnical engineering, environmental remediation, pavement design, and materials evaluation.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic computer literacy for field work, communications, and report generation.
- A valid driver's license, experience driving in the U.S., and a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 - 60 pounds.
- Ability to work outside at construction sites in various weather conditions, including standing, stooping, kneeling, and walking on uneven terrain.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards.
