About the role#
This full-time co-op position offers an opportunity to gain experience in consulting engineering practices. The assignment begins in mid-May 2027 and requires a full-time commitment through late November or early December 2027. You will work alongside full-time team members, contractors, and design professionals to support various construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Support field construction quality control activities.
- Assess and evaluate project materials including soils and concrete.
- Assist team members in ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Perform field evaluations and quality control testing.
- Gain exposure to geotechnical engineering, environmental remediation, pavement design, and materials evaluation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering program.
- Basic computer literacy for field work, communication, and reporting.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors on construction sites in various weather conditions.
- Capability to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, and walk on uneven terrain for long periods.
