About the role#
This Co-op assignment runs full-time from mid-May 2027 through late November or early December 2027. You will start with an orientation and training period before moving into on-the-job training with full-time team members. You will work directly with construction managers, contractors, and design professionals to gain experience in consulting engineering practices.
What you'll do#
- Support field construction quality control activities.
- Assess and evaluate project materials, including soils and concrete.
- Assist engineering staff with field evaluations and quality control testing.
- Learn and apply project specifications while working on construction sites.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering program.
- Basic computer literacy for field work, communication, and reporting.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, stoop, or kneel for long periods and lift up to 60 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage time effectively and communicate clearly in a team environment.
