About the role#
The Enclosure Intern position at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) is a full-time, paid internship based in New York. This is an on-site role with a rolling term. You will work within an interdisciplinary environment to support the design and execution of projects.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design and execution of architectural projects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
- Participate in team discussions and contribute creative ideas.
- Assist in the preparation of project presentations and documentation.
- Engage in continuous learning to deepen your professional knowledge.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor or master degree program in architecture or a related field.
- Previous experience in the architectural profession or associated arts.
- Strong design capabilities, demonstrated through a portfolio or work samples.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and visualization software.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly.
- Submission of a portfolio (10-20 pages, maximum 5 MB) is required for consideration.
