About the role#
This 12-week summer internship offers exposure to the debt asset management team. You will work alongside experienced professionals to monitor a portfolio of commercial real estate loans. The program runs from June 1 to August 14, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze loan documents, investment committee memoranda, deal structures, and servicing requirements.
- Prepare and present credit recommendations for actions requiring lender approval, such as loan extensions, draw funding, and lease approvals.
- Gather market data and maintain rent rolls.
- Prepare asset-level reports in Excel, including cash flow and variance analysis.
- Build and perform LTV, DY, and DSCR analyses.
- Review draw requests for construction, tenant improvements, and capital expenditures.
- Monitor ongoing portfolio updates, including modifications and collateral reviews.
- Complete a team project and a capstone final project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program for finance, real estate, or a related major.
- Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and business writing skills for high-pressure environments.
- Commitment to integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and within diverse teams.
- Attention to detail and self-motivation.
