About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site internship based in West Des Moines, Iowa, for the Winter 2027 term. You will support commercial real estate professionals on the appraisal, consulting, and valuation management teams. This role involves working on national projects for major financial institutions, pension funds, and insurance companies. Please note this position requires taking a semester off from school to work in the office.
What you'll do#
- Perform valuations and appraisal reviews.
- Research property and market information.
- Analyze subject and comparable data.
- Develop appraisal and consulting reports and other project deliverables.
- Manage workflow processes to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with market participants, clients, and team members.
- Review third-party appraisal reports and assist with quarterly processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Real Estate, Accounting, or Finance.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an office environment.
