About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within the ARC (Authentic, Relevant, and Community) news concept at KSNV. Interns contribute to the storytelling process for both broadcast and digital platforms while gaining experience in a professional newsroom environment.
What you'll do#
- Research, write, and produce news stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Work alongside reporters, anchors, producers, and photographers in the newsroom and in the field.
- Pitch original story ideas and assist in shaping news coverage.
- Learn technical skills including video shooting and framing visuals.
- Gain exposure to control room operations and the production of live broadcasts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, or recent graduation.
- Minimum status of a sophomore at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to start between August 24th and September 14th.
- Reliable transportation.
