Aviation Planning Intern

About the role#

Landrum & Brown is seeking an Aviation Planning Intern to join the team in Chicago. This role provides hands-on experience supporting project managers in the delivery of airport planning projects. The internship offers flexible start dates in January or May.

What you'll do#

• Work directly with clients on airport planning, noise abatement, and environmental or sustainability planning.
• Participate in and assist with organizing community relations efforts and public meetings.
• Develop and maintain electronic data sets and files, performing data analysis and reporting through tables, charts, and comprehensive reports.
• Prepare draft reports, presentations, schedules, and meeting materials based on direction from senior staff.
• Provide technical assistance and respond to requests for data and information.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• A strong passion for the aviation sector and interest in airport operations.
• Highly articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and technical abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain high levels of integrity.

• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
• Compensation: $20 to $30 per hour.
