About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students in a community retail setting. You will work under a local Associate-Owner while gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of a pharmacy. This role provides real-world training to complement your academic studies and prepares you for a career as a community pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality, consent, and privacy requirements.
- Maintain high visibility to the public while on duty.
- Provide support to pharmacy customers to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Develop your knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Improve your patient counseling and communication skills with health care workers and staff.
- Learn the essentials of managing a retail pharmacy.
