About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Mississauga. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, working under an Associate-Owner while receiving support from a national brand. This role is paid, with an hourly range of $22.00 to $28.75 depending on your experience and knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain privacy standards, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Learn about the expanding responsibilities of a community pharmacist.
- Develop your communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Build knowledge regarding OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Learn the operational skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.

- Enrollment in a Pharmaceutical Sciences program.
