About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students within a community retail setting. You will work under a local Associate-Owner, gaining exposure to the daily operations of a pharmacy while developing the skills needed for a career in the field.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Protect patient privacy by managing consent and maintaining confidentiality.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Build your knowledge of over-the-counter products, drug therapy, and disease state management.
- Practice patient counseling and communication with healthcare workers.
- Learn the operational requirements of managing a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a pharmacy degree program.
- A genuine interest in community pharmacy practice.
