About the role#
The Management & Sales Internship is a paid, 10-12-week summer program for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in retail operations, sales, and management. This role provides insight into business-to-business and retail environments within our paint stores. You will travel with a Sales Representative and work alongside your management team. You will also collaborate with peers to complete a project that addresses a real business challenge.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly, professional assistance in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain displays and assist customers with product recommendations.
- Understand merchandise to answer questions and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Restock shelves and support visual merchandising.
- Assist with transactions, product prep, mixing, and store upkeep.
- Help unload deliveries and organize stockrooms.
- Attend training and follow store policies.
- Support teammates and resolve basic customer concerns.
- Work on a team-based project addressing a real business challenge.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the program.
- Be a rising or current Junior or Senior in college or university.
- Pursuing a major in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Operations Management.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
- Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
- If currently employed at Sherwin-Williams, you must have a meets expectations rating on your most recent appraisal and have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.
