About the role#
The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Internship is a paid, 10-12-week summer program. It provides hands-on experience in retail stores, offering insight into management, sales, and store operations. You will gain practical business-to-business experience, travel with a Sales Representative, and spend structured time with your management team. Interns also complete a team-based project that addresses a real business challenge.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly, professional assistance in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain displays and assist customers with product recommendations.
- Understand merchandise to answer questions and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Restock shelves and support visual merchandising.
- Assist with transactions, product prep, mixing, and store upkeep.
- Help unload deliveries and organize stockrooms.
- Attend training and follow store policies.
- Support teammates and resolve basic customer concerns.
- Work on a team-based project addressing a real business challenge.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship.
- Must be enrolled in a college or university, specifically a rising or current Junior or Senior.
- Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. on occasion.
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
- Experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in Spanish.
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have a meets expectations (3) rating on your most recent appraisal and have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.
