About the role#
The Management and Sales Summer Internship is a paid, 10-12-week program focused on retail store operations. You will gain hands-on experience in business-to-business sales, marketing, and store management. Interns work alongside management teams and travel with Sales Representatives to understand the industry. You will also collaborate with peers on a project that addresses a real business challenge or store initiative.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and recommend items that meet customer needs.
- Develop a strong understanding of merchandise to answer inquiries and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Restock shelves and support visual merchandising efforts.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions, product mixing, and general store maintenance.
- Help unload deliveries and organize stockrooms to ensure efficient inventory flow.
- Participate in training sessions regarding safety, HR guidelines, and loss prevention.
- Support team members in resolving customer concerns and completing shared tasks.
- Collaborate on a team-based project to solve a specific business challenge.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university as a rising or current Junior or Senior.
- Pursuing a major in Business Administration or Marketing.
- At least eighteen years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented setting.
- A valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Internal candidates must have a meets expectations rating on their most recent appraisal and have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.
