About the role#
The Management and Sales Internship is a paid 10-12 week summer program based in Lexington, Kentucky. This full-time, on-site experience provides insight into retail store operations, sales, and management. You will work within our stores to gain practical business experience, travel with a Sales Representative, and collaborate with peers on a project addressing a business challenge.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and recommend items that meet customer needs.
- Contribute to sales goals through effective support.
- Develop a strong understanding of store merchandise to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Restock shelves and support visual merchandising efforts.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions, product mixing, and general store maintenance.
- Help with unloading deliveries and organizing stockrooms.
- Participate in required training and follow store policies regarding safety and loss prevention.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a team-based project.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be a rising or current Junior or Senior enrolled in a college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- At least one year of experience in retail, delivery, or customer service.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Internal candidates must have a rating of at least meets expectations on their most recent performance appraisal and have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.
