About the role#
This internship provides students with experience in a working Health Information Management environment. You will learn about document management, digital systems, the Master patient index, and filing workflows. This is a referred placement opportunity for students directed to apply by a college or university representative.
What you'll do#
- Manage patient data and assist with document management.
- Work on projects related to the retention and destruction of records according to policy.
- Assign admission numbers on loose filing.
- Complete delegated tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited HIM program.
- Academic standing in good standing.
- Ability to work on-site at least 3 times per week for a minimum of 2 months.

- Term: Rolling start dates beginning September 2025.
