About the role#
We are looking for a Product Operations Intern to join our Rewards team. This role sits at the intersection of operations and product development, focusing on the receipt scanning feature within the Sezzle app. You will help ensure our validation processes are accurate, fair, and resistant to abuse. This is a hands-on role where you will see how our features perform in the real world and help determine our future development priorities.
What you'll do#
- Manage the day-to-day quality of receipt scanning submissions by reviewing them against validation rules and making approval decisions.
- Identify edge cases such as unusual receipt formats, retailer-specific quirks, duplicates, and signs of abuse.
- Document findings to help the team scale operations.
- Translate observations into actionable feedback for engineering, including bug reports and examples.
- Maintain a prioritized list of improvements based on customer impact, fraud risk, and operational cost.
- Track fixes through the backlog and verify improvements after they are shipped.
- Create and maintain review guidelines, decision criteria, and escalation paths.
- Propose ways to automate, simplify, or remove inefficient parts of the workflow.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A genuine interest in consumer fintech, rewards programs, or product operations.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured, logical mindset.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Prior experience in operations, product, fintech, data analysis, trust and safety, or startups is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, remote position based in Chile.
- The role is on a rolling term.
- This position is paid at a rate of 2,800,000 COP monthly.
