About the role#
We are looking for a Fraud Operations Intern to join our Risk and Fraud team. You will help protect our platform by identifying and reviewing suspicious activity. This role involves blocking fraudulent users and clearing false positives flagged by our automated systems. You will work within a team that monitors for new fraud trends and updates our internal policies to keep our platform secure.
What you'll do#
- Review real-time transactions and customer behaviors flagged for potential fraud.
- Investigate individual transactions using our internal policies and methodologies.
- Analyze account patterns through data and research user behavior to support machine learning models and detection rules.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and operations specialists to improve our fraud prevention tools.
- Maintain service level agreements by resolving cases in a timely manner.
- Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders.
- Build your knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
What you'll need#
- Experience analyzing data and making decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with minimal supervision after training.
- Experience using Claude or similar large language model tools to improve research and productivity.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid remote internship based in Colombia.
- You are expected to work Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm local time.
- Compensation is 2,800,000 COP monthly.
