About the role#
We are looking for a Fraud & Disputes Intern to join our risk and fraud department. You will analyze and respond to credit card, debit card, and ACH disputes filed against Sezzle. You will work with our internal teams to navigate individual cases and determine the best course of action. This role involves making recommendations to management to help improve and scale our existing processes.
What you'll do#
- Investigate disputed transactions and resolve them within the required timeframes.
- Work across departments to determine the next steps for specific cases.
- Use internal policies and data analysis to identify transaction patterns and trends.
- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to improve loss prevention tools and mechanisms.
- Maintain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
- Meet or exceed service level agreements to minimize potential losses.
- Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders.
- Use Claude or equivalent large language models to assist with research and productivity.
What you'll need#
- Experience analyzing data.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong business judgment and communication skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language models.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position based in Argentina.
- This is a full-time internship with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Central Time.
- The role is paid at $800 USD monthly as an independent contractor.
- The internship term is rolling.
