About the role#
We are looking for a Chargeback Operations Intern to join our Risk and Fraud team. In this role, you will analyze and respond to credit card, debit card, and ACH disputes filed against Sezzle. You will work closely with our fraud and customer disputes teams to resolve issues on a case by case basis. You will also provide recommendations to management on how to improve and scale our internal processes.
What you'll do#
- Investigate disputed transactions and resolve them within allowed timeframes.
- Review individual transactions using internal policies to identify patterns or trends in account activity.
- Collaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists, and engineering to improve loss prevention tools and mechanisms.
- Maintain strong knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
- Meet or exceed service level agreements to minimize potential losses.
- Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders.
- Use Claude or equivalent large language model tools to enhance research and productivity.

- Strong business judgment and communication skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with minimal supervision after initial training.
- Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
Location & details#
- This is a remote role.
- This is a full-time internship with a rolling schedule.
- You must be available to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Central Time.
- This position is paid.
