About the role#
Semtech is hiring an Analog Design Engineer Intern for our Signal Integrity Products group in Burlington, Ontario. This is a full-time, paid internship for a 12 to 16-month term starting in May 2027. You will work directly with senior designers on high-speed analog chips that support data center applications, wireless infrastructure, and enterprise networking.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, verify, and characterize analog and mixed-signal circuits.
- Work on phase-locked loops, equalizers, and optical or cable receivers and drivers.
- Use BiCMOS and CMOS technologies for circuit development.
- Perform layout, simulation, and verification using advanced CAD tools.
- Develop scripts for IC design and validation automation using languages like Python, Skill, or TCL.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering program.
- A solid grasp of analog electronic circuit fundamentals.
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly and work well both independently and in a team.
- Exposure to transistor-level circuit design and analysis.
- Experience with CAD circuit design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso.
- Proficiency in Matlab or scripting languages like Python.

- Pay: $26 - $28.5 CAD per hour.
