About the role#
As an Applications Engineering Intern, you will work with the Signal Integrity Products Applications team. You will support the development of integrated circuits for data center and 5G wireless applications. This role focuses on lab testing, evaluation, and the logistical support of evaluation platforms. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Burlington, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Test, measure, and troubleshoot high-speed signal integrity devices using lab equipment like BERTs, VNAs, and oscilloscopes.
- Assemble and verify evaluation boards for customers.
- Provide technical lab support to Applications Engineers and perform measurements for customer samples.
- Create and review documentation for test platforms.
- Manage inventory for evaluation platforms and use SAP to procure or reserve components.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to install lab benches, procure equipment, and arrange for calibration.
- Pack and organize customer samples for shipment.
What you'll need#
- Current studies in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in analogue and digital circuit theory.
- Experience troubleshooting PCBs and systems.
- Practical skills in soldering.
- Familiarity with CAD tools.
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Adaptability to changing priorities.
Location & details#
- Location: Burlington, ON, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $26 - $28.5 CAD per hour.
- Term: Rolling.
