About the role#
As a Validation Engineering Intern, you will join the Signal Integrity Products group in Ottawa. You will work alongside local and remote product development teams to provide validation and test automation support. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced test and measurement tools while contributing directly to product development.
What you'll do#
- Develop data acquisition suites to characterize R&D prototypes.
- Create software and hardware for prototype measurements.
- Develop new measurement analysis techniques and systems to check device compliance to specifications.
- Design utilities to support IC verification and characterization to improve team productivity.
- Participate as an active member of product development teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python programming and automated data collection.
- Experience with hardware and software debugging.
- Knowledge of RF and high-speed digital (>10Gbps) measurement and debug skills.
- Experience with data acquisition and automation of R&D laboratory equipment.
- Familiarity with optical and high-speed test equipment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- A self-starter mindset with a focus on customer needs and team collaboration.
- Ability to begin the internship in May 2027.

- Term: Summer 2027 (12 to 16-month internship).

- Compensation: $26 - $28.50 CAD per hour.
