About the role#
This is a 12 to 16-month internship with the Signal Integrity Products group at our Ottawa Design Centre. You will join our team for the Summer 2027 term. We integrate interns directly into our project workflows, providing hands-on tasks that increase in complexity as you gain experience. You will receive mentorship and guidance from senior designers throughout your term.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, verify, and characterize analog and mixed-signal circuits.
- Work on circuit components such as phase-locked loops, equalizers, and optical and cable receivers and drivers.
- Use advanced CAD tools for the design, layout, simulation, and verification of analog blocks.
- Write scripts for IC design and validation automation using Python, Skill, or TCL.
What you'll need#
- A background in Electrical Engineering.
- A solid understanding of analog electronic circuit fundamentals.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exposure to transistor-level circuit design and analysis.
- Familiarity with CAD circuit design tools, such as Cadence Virtuoso.
- Experience with Python, Matlab, or similar scripting languages.
