About the role#
As a Validation Engineering Intern, you will join the Signal Integrity Products group. You will work with local and remote product development teams to provide validation and test automation support. This role offers the opportunity to learn from our Validation and Design teams while using industry-standard test and measurement technologies. We treat interns as integral members of the team, providing hands-on tasks that grow in complexity as you gain experience.
What you'll do#
- Develop data acquisition suites to support the characterization of R&D prototypes.
- Create new measurement analysis techniques and systems to check device compliance to specifications.
- Build the necessary software and hardware for prototype measurements.
- Design utilities that support IC verification and characterization to improve overall productivity.
- Participate as an active member of product development teams.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering program.
- Ability to start the internship in May 2027.
- Proficiency in Python programming and experience with automation coding.
- Skills in hardware and software debugging.
- Experience with data acquisition and the automation of R&D laboratory equipment.
- Knowledge of optical and high-speed test equipment, including RF and high-speed digital (>10Gbps) measurement skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- A goal-driven, self-starting mindset with a customer-focused approach.

- Location: Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027 (12-16 month duration).
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Full-time, paid position.
- Pay range: $26 - $28.5 CAD per hour.
