About the role#
Join the Specialty Chemicals - Surface Rentals team as a Shop Student. You will gain hands-on experience supporting the maintenance, organization, and preparation of equipment used in our operations. This role provides support during our peak season, helping keep equipment ready for customer needs while you build practical skills in an industrial environment.
What you'll do#
- Support summer fleet and equipment readiness activities.
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance and inspections.
- Complete equipment checks and prepare for upcoming work.
- Verify assets and inventory.
- Organize the shop and yard.
- Ensure equipment and materials are available when required.
- Help the team with general shop activities and operational tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program related to Engineering, Manufacturing, Trades, or a similar technical discipline.
- An interest in equipment, maintenance, mechanical work, or industrial operations.
- Comfort working with tools and performing hands-on tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliability, responsibility, and a willingness to take direction.
- Ability to work in a shop and outdoor environment.
- Reliable transportation to Leduc.
