About the role#
SCS Engineers is hiring an intern for our Madison, Wisconsin office for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position where you will work with experienced professionals on site inspections, brownfield redevelopment, and soil and groundwater remediation. You will work 40 hours per week from our office.
What you'll do#
- Assist project teams with soil, groundwater, and vapor investigation and remediation sampling.
- Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Inspections.
- Work on GIS projects.
- Manage and review laboratory data.
- Prepare reports and calculations.
- Provide design assistance.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor or master degree in geology, hydrogeology, soil science, environmental science, or environmental or geological engineering.
- Expected graduation date by June 2029, with a preference for candidates entering their senior year.
- A valid driver license with a record in good standing.
- Experience with ArcGIS or AutoCAD is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

- Location: Madison, WI.
- Work modality: On-site, 5 days per week.
- Term: Summer 2027, running from May or June through August or September.
- Pay: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour.
- You must be willing to live in the Madison area for the duration of the internship.
