About the role#
This internship provides exposure to an IT team supporting a manufacturing environment. You will work on tickets, endpoint support, and infrastructure tasks. You will handle self-directed projects with mentor check-ins, pair with team members, and shadow staff to learn our systems.
What you'll do#
- Deploy, configure, and manage the lifecycle of computers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user-access issues.
- Assist with IT asset management, system configuration, and related documentation.
- Participate in initiatives involving networking hardware, wireless networks, cloud services, and other enterprise technologies.
- Test prospective IT tools, automate existing tasks, and perform other greenfield work.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Networking, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
- You will be a rising sophomore or higher at the start of the internship.
- Experience with computer hardware or operating systems like Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, or DHCP.
- You are comfortable researching technical questions, troubleshooting, and documenting your findings.
- Ability to pass a 90-day head hair drug test.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred experience includes troubleshooting across hardware and software, Microsoft 365, public cloud environments, scripting languages like PowerShell or Python, and IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+.
