About the role#
The US L&H Finance Intern joins our accounting team to support financial operations and internal controls. You will work alongside finance, actuarial, and operations professionals in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Assist the financial accounting team with journal entries and reconciliations.
- Help establish and document best practices for internal controls within the US L&H Finance team.
- Create and maintain process documentation, including the identification of risks and controls.
- Ensure key controls are implemented and operating effectively.
- Capture control evidence and share it with management, internal auditors, and external auditors as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an Accounting degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and as a self-directed individual.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues.
- Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
- Pay: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour.
- Relocation assistance is available within the U.S.
