About the role#
The P&C Legal Intern will join the in-house legal team at SCOR in New York. This full-time summer 2027 internship offers exposure to a wide range of legal, regulatory, and operational matters. You will work on insurance law and regulatory compliance projects alongside in-house counsel.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with in-house counsel to prepare transaction-related documentation, regulatory submissions, and other legal materials.
- Conduct legal research on state and federal insurance laws and draft legal memoranda.
- Assist with responses to insurance department inquiries.
- Monitor and summarize legislative and regulatory developments.
- Organize and support policy filing submissions to state regulators.
- Review and develop training resources, internal policies, and comparative state-by-state regulatory charts.
- Support special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited J.D. program.
- Ability to identify and analyze issues and propose relevant solutions.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to raise critical points.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to act independently and make decisions.
- An appetite for learning and development.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research on Westlaw or Lexis Nexis.
- Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remote.
- Compensation: $25.50 to $27.50 per hour.
- Status: This is a paid, full-time internship. No sponsorship is available for this role.
