About the role#
SCOR is seeking three actuarial interns for our 10-week 2027 Summer Internship Program in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will work alongside experienced professionals in our Experience Analysis, Reserving, and Inforce Optimization teams. This role offers the chance to apply your analytical knowledge to real business challenges while developing technical and communication skills within a collaborative reinsurance environment.
What you'll do#
- Analyze insurance data to identify trends and business impacts.
- Support the development, testing, validation, and maintenance of actuarial models and analytical tools.
- Assist with experience studies, portfolio analyses, valuation activities, and business performance assessments.
- Conduct quantitative research to support actuarial recommendations and business decisions.
- Create reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Support process improvement, automation, and data management initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and intern development activities.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward actuarial credentialing, including successful completion of at least one actuarial exam.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into business insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with programming or analytical tools such as Python, R, VBA, SQL, or Tableau.
- Pursuit of a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.

- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: 10-week Summer 2027 program.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office.
- Compensation: $26 to $27 per hour.
- Employment: Full time, paid internship.
