About the role#
The US P&C Finance Intern will gain direct experience in the reinsurance industry. You will work with the Finance and accounting departments to support global and domestic goals. This position provides insight into how US entities contribute to the organization while you develop your professional skills in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Learn about reinsurance through on the job training.
- Complete assigned closing tasks and adhere to local closing calendars.
- Organize and maintain files to support audits.
- Run reports to support the daily Landing during the US Statutory quarter close period.
- Review quarterly variance analysis and investigate anomalies in local results.
- Prepare analytical reports and assist technical and regulatory reporting departments with special projects.
- Present data-driven recommendations to the Finance team.
- Network with senior leaders and teammates to build professional connections.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.
- Strong academic performance and experience working on various projects.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Valid authorization to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remote.
- Compensation: $25.50 to $27.50 per hour.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
