About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to an actuarial career within the Group Life and Accident Reinsurance team. You will focus on risk management by monitoring concentrations within the portfolio. The role is part of the U.S. Internship Program and offers a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Support actuaries and underwriters through project work and team meetings.
- Manage concentration data.
- Conduct research to assist with pricing and risk management tasks.
- Prepare reports and presentations related to your projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Minneapolis and across global offices.
- Assist with various actuarial tasks as needed by the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Completion of at least one actuarial exam.
Location & details#
- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Schedule: Approximately 12 to 16 hours per week during the school year and full time during the summer.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Status: Paid internship.
