About the role#

The Community Team at Schmidt Sciences is seeking an intern for the Summer 2026 term. This role offers hands-on experience in the operations, strategy, logistics, and creative production of convenings. You will work on a defined project aligned with team priorities and present your work at an end-of-summer showcase. This is a part-time, on-site position.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with the Community Team to plan and execute events and convenings across various programs.
• Coordinate logistical aspects, including venue booking, travel arrangements, and vendor management.
• Provide on-site support during events, including set-up, logistics, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling and note-taking.
• Participate in post-event debrief and feedback sessions to identify insights and improvements.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a two or four-year degree program in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or Human Resources.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
• A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Technical proficiency with event-management platforms, relational databases, or project management tools.
