About the role#
We are looking for a Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering Co-Op to join our Humanoid Robotics team. You will work directly with senior engineers as we move projects from research into real-world products. Your work may focus on a single project or span multiple concurrent initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Perform theoretical calculations, including torque and force analysis, motor power sizing, and GD&T analysis.
- Use Creo to model basic parts and design custom test fixturing.
- Conduct detailed model analyses using Ansys FEA, Matlab, and first-principles calculations to verify designs.
- Assist with the physical assembly of prototype systems for customer delivery.
- Draft test procedures, set up test rigs, and execute validation testing on new systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering.
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling, specifically Creo.
- Familiarity with Ansys for Finite Element Analysis and Matlab for technical computing.
- Ability to commute to the work location in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
- Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
