Mechanical/Industrial Internship

About the role#

This is a paid, on-site internship based in North Canton, Ohio, with a duration of 6 months to one year. The role requires a commitment of 30 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Interns will support the mechanical and industrial operations of the facility, focusing on process development, machine training, and the implementation of lean manufacturing methodologies such as 5S, AM, Kaizen, and SMED.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the development of new processes and training materials for production machinery.
• Use MS Office tools to create final versions of work instructions.
• Conduct time studies to analyze rates and cycles on production lines.
• Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with GMP and SOP standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program related to Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Previous experience in an industrial or engineering field is preferred.
