Filtration Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineering student for a paid internship during the Fall 2026 semester. This position is based on-site and offers the opportunity to support the engineering team with custom filter designs and internal projects for a variety of industries, including medical, military, and telecommunications.
What you'll do#
- Enhance 3-D modeling skills using SolidWorks, including work on assemblies, drawings, and sheet metal.
- Gain experience in engineering design through process flow and capabilities analysis from inception to manufacturing completion.
- Learn to utilize ERP software for manufacturing, planning, and quoting.
- Participate in manufacturing production improvement, R&D, prototype builds, and engineering sales and marketing efforts.
- Conduct pressure-drop wind tunnel testing and flammability testing.
- Receive mentorship from senior mechanical and manufacturing engineers.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student (Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong mechanical design skills and computer systems knowledge.
- Working knowledge of 3D modeling software, specifically SolidWorks or similar programs, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivation and strong communication and organizational skills.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
- Schedule: Flexible daytime hours, approximately 15–25 hours per week
