This position is for a Student Cashier at the Melfort Food Store. This is an on-site, paid role suitable for students pursuing studies in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance.
What you'll do#
- Process customer purchases using the cash register, including handling pricing, coupons, rain checks, and cheque authorizations.
- Provide efficient and courteous service that meets company standards.
- Assist in planning and organizing merchandise displays for regular stock, sales, and promotional events.
- Maintain a professional approach to work regarding dependability, appearance, and attitude.
- Monitor the store to prevent unauthorized removal of merchandise.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers and the public.
- An energetic and upbeat nature.
- A desire to learn and the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision following the training period.
- Must be bondable.
