Food Cashier (Casual)

About the role#

Saskatoon Co-operative Association Ltd. is seeking a Food Cashier for a casual position at the Deer Park Food Store. This role involves less than 24 hours per week with availability required across mornings, afternoons, and evenings on both weekdays and weekends. This is a unionized position with UFCW Local 401.

What you'll do#

• Greet customers and respond to inquiries.
• Process sale transactions accurately.
• Bag groceries and assist customers with carrying out purchases.
• Complete cash-up procedures at the end of shifts.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining merchandise displays.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, as some heavy lifting is required.
• Must be over 14 years of age.
