About the role#
Samtec is hiring an Electrical Engineering Co-Op for a position based in New Albany, Indiana. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role for students majoring in Electrical Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Perform, configure, design, and analyze signal integrity test systems for high speed twinaxial cable assemblies.
- Operate High Speed Electrical Test (HSET) equipment and report findings.
- Configure HSET systems specifically for Samtec products.
- Design multilayer circuit boards for HSET applications.
- Review test data to identify root causes of system failures.
- Support global facilities that perform HSET operations.
- Track and manage projects using internal management systems.
What you'll need#
- At least 1 year of experience performing electrical diagnosis of systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with high level programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds from floor to waist.
- Ability to sit or stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.
