About the role#
As a Process Engineer Intern, you will work on routine assignments using established design techniques and procedures. You will work under the close supervision of experienced engineers and specialists, who guide and review your work. This role requires daily collaboration with a multi-discipline team through meetings and face-to-face discussions.
What you'll do#
- Visit existing plants to collect operating data and equipment information.
- Gather data to help prepare equipment specifications, purchase requisitions, and inquiries.
- Review vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Help create equipment lists, piping line lists, and specialty item lists.
- Assist in the preparation of design guides, contract proposals, and guide specifications.
- Participate in plant start-up activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program for Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Understanding of mathematical concepts including geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.

- Physical Requirements: You may occasionally visit operating plants or construction sites. This requires the ability to walk, stand, climb, and lift up to 25 pounds. You may be exposed to outdoor weather, noise, and industrial environments during these site visits.
