About the role#
As a Process Engineer Intern, you will support our engineering team with routine tasks. You will work under the supervision of experienced engineers to learn established design techniques and procedures. This role is a hybrid position that requires daily face-to-face interaction with your team in a group setting.
What you'll do#
- Visit operating plants to collect equipment information and data.
- Help prepare equipment specifications, purchase requisitions, and inquiry documents.
- Review vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Create and maintain equipment lists, specialty item lists, and piping line lists.
- Assist in the development of design guides, contract proposals, and project specifications.
- Participate in plant start-up activities.
- Provide technical guidance to design personnel as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Chemical Engineering at an accredited university.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Previous internship experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read safety manuals and write routine reports.
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts including geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.
