About the role#
As a Process Engineering Intern, you will perform routine assignments under the supervision of senior engineers. You will apply standard design techniques and procedures while working within a multi-discipline team. This role involves regular face-to-face interaction and collaboration to help deliver successful projects.
What you'll do#
- Visit existing plants to gather operating data and equipment information.
- Assist in preparing equipment specifications, inquiry documents, and purchase requisitions.
- Evaluate vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Help prepare equipment lists, piping line lists, and specialty item lists.
- Contribute to the creation of design guides, guide specifications, and contract proposals.
- Participate in plant start-ups.
- Provide technical guidance for design personnel when needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program for Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Ability to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to read safety manuals, write reports, and communicate effectively with clients or team members.
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts including geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Physical requirements: You may occasionally visit operating plants or construction sites, which requires the ability to walk, climb, and lift up to 25 pounds.
