About the role#
S&B is hiring a Process Engineering Intern to assist with routine assignments. You will work under the supervision of experienced engineers and specialists to learn design techniques and procedures. This role requires daily face-to-face interaction and collaboration within a multi-discipline team.
What you'll do#
- Visit existing plants to collect operating data and equipment information.
- Gather data to help prepare equipment specifications, purchase requisitions, and inquiries.
- Review vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Prepare equipment lists, piping line lists, and specialty item lists.
- Help prepare design guides, contract proposals, and guide specifications.
- Participate in plant start-ups.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program for Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, and operating instructions.
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts including geometry, trigonometry, and statistical inference.
